Open to all cricket experience levels
Our girl’s cricket coaching program is open to girls 6 to 16 years with all experience and ability levels catered for in an educationally sound environment. Games and drills are fast paced and provide an excellent opportunity for all participants to develop their skills, technique and confidence as well as gaining valuable game awareness.
The only girls’ cricket coaching on the North Shore
The clinic is the only one on the North Shore specifically catering for girls who are flocking to the game in ever increasing numbers and challenging the gender imbalance in this great game.
Almost a quarter of all cricket participants are now female, with the sport enjoying a nine per cent growth in that demographic to almost 315,000 players and officials, which make up 24 per cent of the sport.
All Geoff Spotswood coaching programs aim to provide players of all abilities and ages with a positive cricketing experience. This is delivered by highly qualified, passionate and engaging coaches.
Where are the girls cricket clinics held?
Our girl’s school holidays cricket coaching clinics will be staged at Koola Park, Killara on Monday 8th October and Tuesday 9th October from 9am to 12 noon.
There are a variety formats available for girls to play cricket with modified rules at the entry level. These are designed specifically for girls and are fast, competitive and focus on maximising enjoyment.

Geoff Spotswood’s school holiday cricket clinics are a great opportunity for your girls to have fun, learn new skills and develop awareness of the game of cricket. All Geoff’s cricket programs encourage children to challenge themselves and make new friends in a safe and inclusive environment. Parents can relax knowing your children are supervised, learning and active under the control of highly experienced teachers and accredited coaches. Our cricket coaching holiday programs are designed by Geoff Spotswood to assist children to learn the correct techniques, have fun and engage actively with other children.
What to expect at our holiday cricket coaching clinics
Each clinic follows a similar format which provides an exciting and fun filled program for every kid regardless of age or experience. You don’t have to be good at cricket or have any cricket experience to have a great time.
Girls’ Cricket Clinic Activities
- Coach will teach each aspect of cricket then actively engage children in skill practice and games to develop and practise the skill taught
- On the first day of each clinic, groups will cover batting, bowling and fielding techniques
- Bowling machine sessions, nets sessions and video analysis will usually occur on first two days
- Skills covered in clinic include:
- Batting – back & front foot shots, building an innings, batting against spin, running between wickets, batting scenarios
- Bowling – run up, gather, release and follow through; fast (swing & cut) and spin (leg & off spin), line & length

- Fielding – catching (slips, short & outfield), throwing, defensive & attacking fielding

Sydney Cricket Coaching North Shore
Geoff Spotswood is an expert cricket coach (Level 3) and leading educator who coaches all cricketers from young beginners to adult players. He is also one of the few sportsmen who have played first grade cricket and rugby league.
The cricket coaching programs Geoff conducts are well respected and highly regarded. Many current Cricket NSW and Australian representatives have been guided and mentored by Geoff including Steve and Mark Waugh. Geoff uses his unique cricket coaching program which has assisted experienced players from Australia and overseas to develop their game.
Geoff also runs school holiday cricket clinics in locations throughout Sydney where young cricketers can learn and develop their skills in a safe and friendly environment. Additionally, Geoff’s accredited and friendly coaches can organise fun filled cricket and sport themed games at your child’s birthday party and bring all the equipment needed.
