Our girls’ cricket coaching program welcomes players aged 5 to 16, from complete beginners to experienced young cricketers. Delivered in a supportive and educational environment, our fast-paced games and drills are designed to build skills, improve technique, boost confidence, and develop valuable game awareness.

With female participation in cricket growing rapidly, our clinics have been created specifically for girls who are embracing the game in record numbers and helping to challenge the gender imbalance in this great sport.
Today, almost a quarter of all cricket participants in Australia are female, with more than 315,000 players and officials involved – a figure that continues to rise.

Our girls’ cricket coaching clinics are run across Sydney, with a variety of formats on offer. At the entry level, modified games with adjusted rules are designed to maximise fun, keep the competition fast-paced, and ensure every girl gets the chance to enjoy and develop in the sport.
About our school holiday cricket clinics
Geoff Spotswood’s school holiday cricket clinics are a great opportunity for your girls to have fun, learn new skills and develop awareness of the game of cricket. All Geoff’s cricket programs encourage children to challenge themselves and make new friends in a safe and inclusive environment. Parents can relax knowing your children are supervised, learning and active under the control of highly experienced teachers and accredited coaches. Our cricket coaching holiday programs are designed by Geoff Spotswood to assist children to learn the correct techniques, have fun and engage actively with other children.
What to expect at our holiday cricket coaching clinics
Each clinic follows a similar format which provides an exciting and fun filled program for every kid regardless of age or experience. You don’t have to be good at cricket or have any cricket experience to have a great time.
Girls’ Cricket Clinic Activities
- Coach will teach each aspect of cricket then actively engage children in skill practice and games to develop and practise the skill taught
- On the first day of each clinic, groups will cover batting, bowling and fielding techniques
- Bowling machine sessions, nets sessions and video analysis will usually occur on first two days
- Skills covered in clinic include:
- Batting – back & front foot shots, building an innings, batting against spin, running between wickets, batting scenarios
- Bowling – run up, gather, release and follow through; fast (swing & cut) and spin (leg & off spin), line & length

- Fielding – catching (slips, short & outfield), throwing, defensive & attacking fielding
